Walk 60 Miles For A Great Cause

We’ve teamed up with AT&T to support the 3-Day Susan G. Komen events in 15 cities. Don’t know what the 3-day Komen events are? You should. Participants walk 60 miles over 3 days and with the help of friends and family each walker raises $3,000 on average to help fight breast cancer. Visit their site to learn more.

What’s really great about the charity is that it brings together thousands of people whose lives, loved ones, or friends have been affected by breast cancer. The events are so inspirational, so empowering, and each mile walked gets us, as Komen says, “one step closer to a world without breast cancer.”

It’s been an honor to help the Komen walkers. So far, our AllSport GPS ambassadors—Brent Silvester, Martin Cisneroz, Stephen Paige, and Susann Paige—have attended 3-day Komen events in Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Twin Cities, and Denver.

Our ambassadors closely work with AT&T employees at the AT&T booth to provide walkers with free phone charging, details on how to train for walks, and even tips on how walkers can pamper their feet after walking 20 miles per day.

The 3-Day Komen events are on four-week hiatus, but they kick back up again on September 24 in Seattle. If you want to help out, but can't make it out to one of the upcoming events here are a couple of ways you can.

You can send a text from your phone to donate $10 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to assist in cancer research or you can search for a participant in the walks and donate to their cause.

Walking in a 3-dayer yourself? Stop by AT&T booth and say hi. Get your phone charged, and grab some of the exclusive 3-Day Silly Bandz.

Pick up the first eight Bandz during the walk including the AllSportGPS shoe!

Then complete your collection with the 3-Day 3-Pack at a local AT&T store.*

*No Purchase Necessary. Offer good while supplies last.

Trimble Outdoors Update for Android

Get the latest Trimble Outdoors for Android.

The latest release addresses some magnetic compass issues with the newer Droid phones and tweaks other navigation features. You can now manually enter your own GPS coordinates. Just mark a waypoint, and edit the coordinate fields. This is super handy if you want to grab a UTM or lat/long coordinate off your topo map in the field.
